1. Introduction

RadioPlayer ("we", "our", "the app") is a free internet radio streaming application developed by Guoqing Chu. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using RadioPlayer, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device model, OS version, app version, and related technical information used to improve app stability and user experience.
• Crash logs and diagnostics: collected via Firebase Crashlytics and related Firebase services to diagnose bugs, monitor app performance, and improve reliability.
• Analytics data: collected via Firebase Analytics to understand usage patterns, such as screen views, app interactions, playback actions, feature usage, and purchase-related events.
• In-app search and interaction data: search terms, station interactions, favorites actions, playback-related events, and similar app activity may be collected for analytics and product improvement. We do not use this information to identify you by name.
• Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID): used by Google AdMob and advertising measurement services to serve ads, measure ad performance, and support personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent preferences and device settings.
• App events and advertising measurement data: we may collect app activation events, onboarding completion, basic app interactions, purchase-related events, device/app information, and device identifiers such as the Advertising ID where available. This information is used to measure app performance, improve app quality, and understand the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, including campaigns run through Meta.

2.2 Information You Provide

• Favorites and playback history: stored locally on your device for app functionality. We do not upload your full favorites list or playback history to our own servers.
• Support emails: if you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.

2.3 Location Data

• Approximate location (country-level only, derived from device locale, SIM information, or your selected country): used to suggest local radio stations and improve app analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.

• Provide and maintain the radio streaming service
• Suggest radio stations based on country-level preferences
• Enable background audio playback via a foreground service
• Display advertisements in the free version

5. Advertising and Consent

• This app displays ads via Google AdMob in the free version.
• For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK), a consent dialog is presented at first launch in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Directive. You may choose to accept or decline personalized advertising.
• You can change your ad preferences at any time through the app settings or by resetting your Advertising ID in your device settings.
• Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements.

6. App Events and Advertising Measurement

RadioPlayer uses the Meta App Events SDK to measure app installs, app activation, and advertising campaign performance. This helps us understand whether advertising campaigns are effective and improve the app experience.

The Meta App Events SDK may collect and process information such as app activation events, basic app interactions, device and app information, and device identifiers such as the Advertising ID where available. We may also send limited app events such as onboarding completion and country-level selection for campaign measurement.

We do not send your name, email address, phone number, favorites list, playback history, or radio search history to Meta.

7. Foreground Service

This app uses an Android foreground service with type mediaPlayback to maintain continuous audio playback of live radio streams while the app is in the background or when the screen is off.

• A visible notification with playback controls is displayed during playback.
• You can stop playback and dismiss the notification at any time.
• The foreground service is only active during audio streaming and performs no other background work.

8. In-App Purchases

This app uses Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payments are securely handled by Google. We do not collect, store, or process any payment information such as credit card numbers.

We may receive purchase status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, price, and currency information from Google Play Billing to unlock Premium features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and measure purchase performance. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local app data, such as favorites and playback history, is stored on your device and can be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
• Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's analytics retention settings and policies.
• Firebase Crashlytics crash logs are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics retention policies.
• Meta App Events data is processed and retained by Meta according to Meta's own data retention and privacy practices.
• No account registration is required.
• You may contact us at chuguoqing1001@gmail.com to request deletion of data associated with your use of the app where reasonably possible.

10. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using HTTPS for network communications where supported. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Deletion: request deletion of your data
• Opt-out of personalized ads: via your device settings (Settings - Google - Ads), by resetting your Advertising ID, or through the in-app consent dialog where available

• Data portability: local favorites and playback history are stored on your device and can be managed by clearing app data
• Lodge a complaint: with your local data protection authority (for EEA/UK residents)
